I've had this uti now for about 2 weeks and i was put on some antibiotics, it worked but i didn't have enough doese and it started to come back again, i went back to the doctors and proscribed me some trimethoprim for 7 days i am now on my 4th day and it hasn't done anything and all I've been getting is pain in my side and feeling tiered, i need some help to stop this pain, do i need to go to hospital for it? Can someone help 
Kimberley, I'd suggest for you to go recieve testing if you have not already done so. I had the same issue and recently I had what I thought was a UTI. I went to the er bc I was expeierencing the same issues you are and they diagnosed me with a UTI gave me medication and sent me home. The meds worked for a few days but then it got worse so I went get tested and come to find out it wasnt a UTI, I tested postive for HSV2. If you dont test postivie for anything then the best way to help prevent and ease a UTI is the typical craberry juice and water. I recomend you get cranberry vitamins as well to take every day to prevent any more UTIs
Dear Kimberly as this was four months ago did your UTI infection clear up with the second course?
I am currently experiencing one and my first set of meds did not clear it up so on a second course and although feel less tired than before still do not feel well.
