Wierd Virtigo

Hello to Everybody,

Has anybody had vertical veritgo or the staggerd type.

For years i only had the horizontal type always moving right to

left but as the years have moved on i suddenly had the vertical

type that started from the top and fell down from 1oclock position

to about 6 or 7 oclock the feeling was really wierd i did feel sick

but it was not uncomfortably sick but it felt like someone was pushing

me to the ground from my shoulders i was  still imobilized by it and

if i took a step i would have fell another was what i call the stagged

type that can last days that feels like the poor outcome of a moveing

video and the ground feels really unsteady the longest iv had that

one is four days and arfter a vertical attack when that cleared i felt

my judgment impaired bumping in to door opening stratching my

my arms on door handles banging my shoulders a stubbing my toes

also falling over all on my right ear side that is almost death...

i have not had an attack for some weeks now and my tinitus as

quiented down ive been taking movocol for constipation from

stress and anxiety im wondering if that might have something to

do with it as it take water from the body but differently to duiretics...

Hello Stephan, Thanks for posting, Yes I have the vert/horz vertigo, I also feel as if someone is pushing me down.

I can completely relate to these symptoms, its the pushing me down that got me in a wheelchair, I got to where I was falling back away from my walker, so had to give up the walker.

high bertman,

I really admire your spirit and your ability to

get on with life iv read your posts since iv been a

member here and believe you are really making a

difference in helping people come to terms with

not just m.d. but illness in general it seems we have

a lot in common i no you suffer m.d. anxiety stress

and now i learnt hives i also have a skin disorder

lichen planus that flares up under stress it came on

around the same time as m.d. and it took dermotoligists

17yrs to diagnose its been every place on my body literally

..i asked dermos if it could get in my ears he said as it a skin

condition he did not see why not..i also have c.o.p.d lung condition

probably from smoking or building materials as they contain lime

..i have to take it day by day and hour by hour on the bad days..

i dont suffer to many headaches though..stress and anxiety seem

to be my worst enemy and they do blurr my vision and create

pressure in my head...keep posting..and stay healthy..

Hello Stephan, Thank you very much for the nice comments, I would like to help anyone I can if possible. This disease is difficult to handle and I truly feel for everyone who has this to deal with. Meniere's has took me on a journey down the bumpy road of life. But I do have time periods where the symptoms are less bothersome, and for this I am very thankful. I try to think that I am blessed that the symptoms are not any worse than they are. I do know a couple friends that are bedfast with meniere's. I just feel that if I keep my spirits up, I won't hit bottom so easy

Thanks again! Bertman

Over the years my vertigo has run the gamut. Rotational, down, up (where I felt like I had to hold my head cuz it was flying off my body) and with the rapid eye twitching (can't remember the name of that at the moment)

It's interesting to me that your symptoms quieted after you started taking movocol for other issues.

High Mary,

Im sure its coincerdence,

I been suffering a lot of stress and anxiety

recently over appeal for benefit claim..

anyway i won the appeal and so the stress

and anxiety calmed down ..but my m.d. as

been at its worst ragging tinitus vertigo every

3 to 4 steps my head felt like it was about to

explode and regular bad attacks,,most of

last year was a mess and i wrote it off as one..

i have Sciatica pain and arthritis from a tibia

injury so i take a lot of cocodamol which is well

known for causing constipation ..if think it the codine

that does it but i get a lot of episodes and so have

to use laxatives to releave it. it interested me when

i read about movocol that it yoused bodily fats to loosen the stool

that got to me thinking about duiretics  that get rid of exess fluids

and are used for M.D. and wonderd if there was a conextion ..

Laxotives can be hard to deal with and certainly put you off going

out for obvious reasons my brother suffers I.B.S. and it runs (no pun intended)

is life..i dont consider menieres to be my worst problem although bad enough

in my case its chronic anxiety and stress which iv sufferd from long before

M.D...thanks for the post ..stay fit healthy and hopefully well....
