Hello everyone....insonmia is a b***h!! Even after a Lunesta and 1mg of klonipin I'm up at 12am. Went back to sleep for two hours at 3am. Wide awake again. Off the prozac....now Dr wants me to start celexa. Kind of scared because if you have heart problems you could just drop dead my Dr. Told me. Gee thanks. I know my grandfather had a double and triple bypass and my cholesterol is bad. Working on changing my diet. Kind of scared to take. My question to you all. Anyone have experience with Celexa? What are the best SSRI's out there? Keep in mind I have tried prozac...effexor and abilify and wellbutrin. All weird side effects in different ways.....ugh...so sensitive to meds...need to fix my depression though. It's getting old!!! P.s. effexor worked however, got really sick and brain zaps...abilify worked however, husband said I was manic as heck....boo
Hi, Ive never been on Celexa so can't advise but that was a strange thing to say by your GP, there is no best SSRI as everyone reacts differently to them, I've just restarted Effexor and have had no side effects.
Perhaps contact your GP again and ask for some clarification on what he said and what risk goes with it, s/he shouldn't leave you in this position.

Just wrote a post about this ave been taking it for 4 months now and have had palpitations every day so far I did have some before the cit but never as many as this so am going to try come off it see if they disappear would like to know if anyone else had this problem thanks
You should ask your doctor for mirtazapine (remoren) which is really good for depression and excellent for insomnia. ...I take it with citalopram ☺
