Hi i'm 19 years of age, i recently got prescribed 10mg Citalopram. I have been having on and off thought of starting this medication as i'm suffering with DPDR (depersonalization/derealization) and have read that it can worsen these symptoms. I've recently giving up smoking weed hoping for it to help but nothings working. My GP is demanding that this will work, but i'm so afraid. I've been suffering on and off DPDR for the last two years but over the last 3/4 weeks it has been constant. Will this medication help me? or am i taking a risk?
It will help..but unfortunately you will get side effects..and the worstening of your already symptoms will get magnified with celexa..good luck...
Hello lovely, I suffer with DPDR too unfortunately and I’m on my first week of citalopram 10mg, I’m feeling a bit funny today and it’s not great but I’m gonna stick it out because I can’t cope at the moment without some help. If you need to talk let me know darling xx
This medication does take time it has worked wonderfully for me hopefully it does for u too
