may be starting on cit shortly, not looking forward to the side affects but don’t like the anxiety symptoms either mornings are awful. Anyone else used 10mg and managed to recover with minimal side affects? To be calm again what a blessing that would be.
You will be calm once they stabilize.. every one is different with the side effects ..who knows you might not have severe ones perhaps just mild or none .
Yes. It's totally possible. Restarted in April 2016, straight onto 10mg, side effects were minimal. Maybe a bit weird for first few days, I remember feeling hungover on waking, and about an hour after taking cit I would feel a bit woozy. Or a tiny bit buzzy. But nothing terrible, and I was able to continue working and going about ordinary life.
Bear in mind that often, side effects are linked to going up on a dose too quickly or coming down too quickly, or starting too high.
If you start on 10 and give it a few days, see how you feel, if you have any difficulty with side effects then you can always reduce to 5 for a while whilst body tolerates the drug and then go up again.
When I initially went back on I really didn't find side effects intolerable at all.
Hi Scott, I was put on these first time around years ago for PTSD, and found them fantastic, they started me on 10mg for a few weeks then upped them gradually to 60mg which they no longer do as that dose is dangerous, its now a maximum of 40mg. I didn't get any side effects that I remember, maybe my PTSD symptoms were worse but felt better within hours of taking them.
I have read on here, that a lot of people do get side effects starting, everyone is different, just start off slow on 10mg and give your brain and nervous system time to adapt, 6 weeks seems to be the normal time. I do remember though that when I was on just 10mg for severe anxiety it helped to take the edge off it, but I had to assist them by reducing my life stresses. There are plenty of alternative methods you can do to help. CBT is fantastic.
