Ive had external hemorrhoids for three weeks the doctor has prescribed anusol suppository and cream.
i got an infection and have nearly finished a course of flucoxacillin.
the doctor wont refer me despite asking twice.
will they eventually go on there own or will i be stuck feeling hideous for life
The only cream I have found which has reduced and almost removed mine is Emuaid Max. I'd be lost without it!
Hi Gemma, I have 1 external hem that gets bigger and shrinks, sometimes it worse than others, sometimes bleeds, most of the time not. I live with mine, as my GP says it is no-where near bad enough to operate on. Alot of the time i don't even realise i have it. They do get better, drink plenty of fluids, increase your fibre intake, don't strain on the loo. My GP advised me to lean forward as if putting your head between your legs when you pass a stool, which offers relief as it increases your back passage, and it does work, well for me. I have just about tried most ointments, creams, but generally they only offer limited relief. If they continue to bother you alot, go back to your GP and ask for a referral, don't suffer. Hope they get better soon, as i know how painful they are.

Having it makes me feel hideous. Feel sorry for my hubby even if he hugs me a feel disgusting.
It has shrunk alot but aside from the aesthetics i go through phases of excruciating pain. No bleeding but really severe pain.

Hope it helps as much as it does for me. I use it 2/3x a day if they flare up. Beware it does have a distinct odour so I tend to use in the morning early afternoon time rather than bedtime! Only use a very small amount, a small dab is enough. If your using daily a pot would last you 4-6 months.

That made me laugh... I bought some apple cider vinegar but have not opened it yet. I'm put off now from doing so!!
I read so many positive things about it. I was drinking it and using cotton wool to apply it but it sent me through the roof the stinging amd burning i also bled lots with it. Kept it up for three days but didnt get easier and after someone asked why the car smelt of vinegar (despite showering amd changing my clothes before i left the house) i gave up
I've placed it in the back of the cupboard! Let me know how you get on with the Emuaid. Like all products it takes a few days to start to work. Personally I use either Emuaid or extra virgin coconut oil after a bathroom trip, which ever i touch first from the shelf, alternating them throughout the day but not the Emuaid to close to bed time!
Haha! Lots say its great personally the recycling bin or back of the cupboard is the best place. Will let you know how the emuaid goes

Been using the emuaid reguarly and has helped alot. Pain has gone. Hemorrhoid gone. Sadly left with a few skin tags now. But i am pain free
