I am six weeks post op and incision still very tender do not feel like I could get in or out of waterbed and I am not sleeping ha I g to lie I my back all the time. Help!
You should eventually be able to I should think , but check with your surgeon / physio when but I think it will be quite a while away - the back sleeping is miserable and you have my sympathy - it does not last forever is all i can say and you forget the misery of it quickly - im 8 and a bit weeks and I,m still tender over the area generally , from my previous 2 ops it takes a few months but gets better week by week xx
Good question, I would think not...ask your surgeon...
Ty I am seven weeks tomorrow and I know I have a ways to go but I also know I've main a lot of progress in the past seven weeks . I just feel like the energizer bunny and keep going with little to no sleep
HI
If you are 6 weeks you should be able to sleep on your good side now with a pillow between your legs and one next to your good leg to stop you rolling right over ? i found this great !
never had a water bed so dont know what the differecne is ?
also i ws rubbing on bio oil on the scar everyday with a cotton wool pad - very sensitive to start with but definately worked - it gets the site nerves less sensitive to touch again - try it it does work - takes a while - have beebn able to lie on operated side since 12 weeks x
Thank you Anna I will try that. The waterbed you dink down into and not sure if I got in if I could get out. I was wondering about using something in the incision because it is still dry and sore
Hi
Had a watered when I had my first THR.
It took a while after before I could use it - it was too uncomfortable.
I had to be very careful getting in and out of it - my one had baffles so there was less movement.
Looking back I wouldnt really want to try that again x
