Withdrawal from Sertraline

After 10 years I have withdrawn the Sertraline 50 mg, after 6 months , I am feeling maybe I need to go back to it, I have lost my happiness and can not be really happy feeling that something is wrong with me , I can not make decisions for simple things. I feel so overwhelmed by everything , I do not know should I put up with this condition maybe I will get better or I need to go back the tablets again.

Hey Lina! I was in the same situation recently. I had taken Sertraline for almost 4 years and weaned off from 150mgs over the course of a year. I was feeling fine at 50mgs, but I eventually came all the way off in August. Unfortunately, I started getting the same symptoms back as you're describing and after 4 months of pushing through and trying natural alternatives, I decided to go back on the Sertraline. Tomorrow, I will have been on it a week. I'm experiencing some crappy initial side effects, but I look forward to feeling better, happy and balanced again! Hope this helps in your decision. If you felt that the sertraline wasn't working as well as it should have been, you could always talk to your doctor about trying a new medication.

Thanks Johoben for your responding. Actually last Sunday I went to my GP and he put me on moclobemide 300mg. When I take it I get headache. I really trying not to go back to the medication because I do not feel myself. But sometimes I think you can not be like that depressed and not happy. I will update how I will go after 2 weeks.

Good luck! smile
