Withdrawal

I started taking mirt 30th July on 7.5mg. i hate them i want to come off. i took 3.75 for the last 2 nights, is it safe for me to take 1.87 now and how long for.

have you had any symptoms reducing? x

felt lethargic and a little nausea. but take stemetil for nausea

how you get the tablet down to 1.87 ? That’s tiny

use pill cutter

that’s what I thought? didn’t know there was smaller than 15mg? I been on this for just over 3 weeks, when I take it at 7pm I feel sense of calm till next morning, then I wake with the awful anxiety to which I take 2mg diazepam 3 times a day. I am going to give it a bit longer.
I was originally started on proponal with above but due to side affects come after two weeks.

thats not too bad x

thats a lot of diazepam x

you need to be on mirtazapine for at least a month to see it benefit. not being funny but if you prepared to suffer withdraw symptoms you can prepare for a month on mirtazapine to get full effect

I had the same problem on 15mg mirtazapine took it for 18 months the anxiety was always worse on waking ,I’m currently tapering and down to 1.875 mg for the last 3 weeks the dosage is probably not to accurate as I’m using a stanley blade determined to get off these meds

Hi , i noticed a lot of people including me getting morning anxiety when taking 15 mg of mitrazapine. I’m off mirt now but my doc prescribed pregablin 75 mg morning and night and guess what no more morning anxiety. It was a god send and has good results for lessening anxiety.. it works quick too. within a hour i felt calm. Came off it no problems too when i felt better.

One more thing, pregabalin can be taken on its own for anxiety. I have told a number of people i know about this med and they too are getting benefits from it at reducing anxiety.
