Withdrawals, when do they end?

I was on Celexa for 6 months as I was diagnosed with GAD which I attributed to the dislike of my job.  I left my employer and have changed my career (from teacher to construction). It took a full two months to feel the full benefits of Celexa and I'm quite certain I felt every side effect known. The last month on Celexa I decided to wean myself off of the 20mg I had been taking. I went to 1/2's then to 1/4's during the last month. After I finished, I went 7 days feeling great, but the last two weeks have not been great. The withdrawal symptoms I have experienced- dizziness, headaches, nauseousness, diarrhea, ringing in my left ear, allergy like symptoms, feeling the need to cry over nothing, and now I am feeling sad, moody/irritable and I almost decided to move from Texas to Florida today. Lol I am now going into my 4th weak off of Celexa- how much longer will I feel these withdrawal symptoms????

Good for you leaving teaching. It caused my anxiety too and still in teaching but think I need to get out of it. Was it an instant relief when gave up? I would almost have stayed on a low dose for a while as still not been on it that long and jen get less and less by even breaking tablet into halves and quarters.

Well done for getting out of teachijg

Thank you and hello. When I left teaching, and because of my anxiety, it was not an instant relief. I was extremely worried that I would lose everything- my loft, my car, my credit- all that I had worked so hard to acquire- and all not important. Lol I will never go back into the classroom. I'm only 9 years from retirement, so I will go back to an ISD or ESC, but under my conditions, so that I can get my retirement.
