so i have ran out of meds for today and feel like im going to die . i cant focus my legs feel liek they are buring breahting is hard. head feels very wierd . finding it hard to even type this . will i die ?

There are doubtless countless people out there who have miscalculated when they need a prescription renewal. They don't all drop dead because of it. No med would be prescribed that, should a few dosages be missed, the patient would expire. Okay?

No, you won't die, but... the side effects can be quite unplesant. What was the dose that you've been taking? 75 mg? 150 mg? How long have you been on Effexor? Weeks? Months? I'm asking because if you were on a high dose over many months, your condition may justify turning up at any emergency/ER and asking for a script. Venlafaxine has a very low abuse potential and can be prescribed by any licenced practicioner. Knowing how bad you feel after quitting cold turkey, make sure that this situation never happens again.

No it is your anxiety, and withdrawal of your medication, Talk to your GP tomorrow and get a repeat prescription for tomorrow, if your medication is a repeat, get it drawn as soon as you can. If your GP has his own chemist get it there or pick it up at the desk, explain it is urgent you have run out of your tabets
