I woke up feeling dizzy like room was moving it lasted about 1 hour until I drank and ate something which eased it but not completely gone.
It has been building for the past
couple of weeks with some short periods of dizziness seconds to a couple of minutes.
GP did some tests in the practice said it was vertigo/ virus and gave me stemitol.
i suffer for palpitations which I take beta blockers and have lower back pain and recent neck pain and head pressure which seems linked so I'm not convinced about the virus / vertigo diagnosis.
Any ideas?
If it is a single episode of intense vertigo, then you most likely had an episode of vestibular neuritis, but the treatment is usually steriods for a short period of time.

It has been coming and going and my muscle ache a bit. Also have lower back pain that comes and goes and can be a little intense for a short period.
It happened again only much stronger after I woke up. My palpitions have gotten worse and my heart beat irregular. Dizzying ness is gone but heart is still irregular with low bpm 44. I've been taking beta blockers for 10 years.
