Worried - 13 weeks after prolapse surgery

hi - back in July I had surgery - anterior and posterior repair and sacrospinous fixation.  I was admitted to hospital a week later with an infection and was on a drip for 4 days. I was then discharged from the hospital and told to see my gp for my post op check in 6 weeks. I saw my gp who didn't examine me but just asked how I was. I said I was having overactive bladder problems so he gave me something medication which didn't help and so he has referred me back to the hospital (2 weeks time) . I still have bladder problems but more worrying is the pain that I feel right near my back passage to the side. It feels very sore and achey - almost a pinching feeling. . Also I resumed sexual activities with my husband last week and when he tried to fully penetrate me it really hurt. I am worrying myself into a right old state - especially as we have a holiday to New York booked  just after my next hospital appointment. Any advice or reassurance would be greatly appreciated x

July isn't that long ago,you are still in the recovery stage and really need to be resting as much as you can and not doing too much...Seriously. This is major surgery even though you probably weren't informed it was. I didn't actually get back to comfortable sex until 20 months post op,that's not to say that it's the same for everyone as we are all different. Hope you feel much better soon x

Use plenty of lube. Go very slowly. If your are tense cause you think it's going to hurt and are scared of that, then chances are it will hurt. It takes lots of tries to get back to being comfortable having sex. Months. Then one day you will do it successfully and suddenly realize it didn't hurt anymore.

The pain in back is a bladder infection, I had one for two weeks very bad back pain and also ur doing to much I'm going on 12 weeks pist op and still haven't tried sex I've seen dr last week said all good to go.take it easy I just started feeling goid still get tired as other ladies said very long recoup time
