Worried about ALS

Hi everybody I'm sorta new to this, i have very bad health anxiety and I just wanted to ask fellow irrational thinkers if you've ever had these symptoms. For the past 3 to four weeks I've felt weaker in my left leg more like the hip but the whole leg sometimes too , sometimes in my left shoulder while driving but not really to much, anyways I've been doing all the self tests and looking for atrophy and at the end of the day I can't find any. But I FEEL WEAK!!! I worry myself sick with it, it's all I think about and every time I walk it's all I pay attention to. I've began to walk a bit funny but not like a limp, more like I kick out my left leg more that the right when I walking. Idk if it's because I'm focusing on it or what but I'm just very worried. When we hear "ohh it a one in a million chance" we believe we are the one, am I right? I just wanted to know if any of you have ever had weakness in just one limb that stayed there for a good while and turned out to just be anxiety, or maybe an explaintion of why this is happening. Take in mind I'm 18 with severe health anxiety, thank you

Please, please get the Anxiety and Phobia workbook. It helped me so much. Health anxiety is such a pain in the ass. As soon as we feel something physical, our brains incorrectly interpret it as a disease. People without anxiety might feel the same physical symptom and not think much of it at all. Sometimes we just feel things in our body and it doesn't mean anything at all. I've been telling everyone to watch Monkey Mind on youtube. Just because your brain is talking, does NOT mean you need to listen! You are in control, not your thoughts 😀

Yes, every single person on the anxiety forum has had these symptoms.

I agree with 'itwillbeok' so please follow the advice there. You will be fine, and of course you haven't got ALS.

ALS isn't a 'feeling' disease, it's a failing disease.  Muscles don't feel tired, they physically don't work, with the motor neurons controlling muscles and muscle groups being dead.
