Worried about an recent ache 😔

Hello everyone, I had two total hip replacements one on both sides, a year apart. The last one was done on my right side October 2018. Everything went well until the last few days. I have an nagging ache in the right hip joint
area. I’ve been riding my stationary bike and alternating with an elliptical for 30 minutes a day and wondering if this is the reason by ache. I’m just kinda worried that something is going wrong. Has anyone else had a problem like this?

I had a total right hip replacement in Nov 2018 and I have the same ache that you do.
i ended up going back to physical thearpy again for an additional 6 weeks. I have been going for 3 weeks now twice a week and I still have the ache. I think I traded one pain for another.

maybe it’s early days to be doing so much? Let your body tell you how much is enough… Rest is important in the first year - don’t overdo it. i had my hip last AUGUST and am fine, walking daily about 3-4 miles without much bother. good luck

Hi Renee,

I would not think that was the reason, I have used my elliptical walker since week 10, pilates, step aerobics and zumba from 5.5 months. The bike and walker will strengthen the muscles. Maybe, have a think if you have done something else different, we are always going to get aches from time to time.
