Had my gallbladder removed 3 weeks ago.Thought everything was getting better then yesterday i had crazy pain near my top incision. It feels like something is being pulled or torn out of me.Especially when i get up or try to walk.Has anyine experienced this ?
What you are experiencing is called healing pain. Your incision at the top was needed to enter your cavity. The surgeon actually pulled your gallbladder through it. Don’t worry its normal. You Will He Fine. Just rest and no lifting or pulling. A rested body heals faster. Good Luck.
Hi Susan, I had mine out 4 weeks ago and still have dissolvable stitches in 2 sites. I dont have the pain that u describe now, but I did for the first 2 weeks so I suggest u just give it time. I’m 44 so I expect it will take a little longer for me to fully recover but I can already feel some benefits from having the surgery and I hope that u do soon.
I also had my gallbladder removed 3 weeks ago and a couple of days ago I noticed a slight tugging sensation from the larger incision. I would not describe mine as a pain and it has now passed. I agree with Fernando, this is a normal part of the wound healing. I experienced something similar after having a CSection many years ago. Just try no to do too much too soon.
If however, your incisions are inflamed or weeping then I suggest you seek medical advice.
