Hi Angel, i do sympathise with you as i seem to have the same problem. My right hip replacement 15 months ago was fine until a few weeks ago. I eventually saw the surgeon who assured me there was no mechanical problem and that i had bursitis (an inflammation of the fluid filled bursa around my hip). I’m now waiting for an appointment to have a cortisone injection. Apparently this is quite a common occurrence so I do advise you to get it checked out. I wish you a speedy recovery.
ove had many injections they dont help due to my hip dysplasia i have alot of issues i had my hip replacment in 2017 then in fec 2018 he changed the head and socket and now he wants to change the stem to a small one as its not growing into the bone like it should xrays and ct scans said normal but the surgeon look carfully and said it was missed and he can see it through the scans it was all white on the bottom of the stem and he said it could cause my knee pain as well but i do have patella femoral syndrome in left knee and damage under knee cap i just want my life back ive been in pain for 8 yrs surgery after surgery so i hope this is the last one for my hip well i mean maybe when im a senior it will have to get changed again as im still uoung they say when u get a replacment young it will wear out faster then a senior
Hi im 55 year old lady who had a hip replacement 2 years ago and mine sounds just the same. I had the psoas tendon cut 8 weeks ago and that has cured the pain in my groan but the hip still hurts and like u when u r laying on it. He says he cant find anything wrong but having a nuclear bone scan next week! i just want him to find something because they make u feel as if its all in your head. Mel
malgosia I had my tendon cut too the same time they did my revision and I still have constant pain in my groin and clicking he says it’s because the cup that sits in the socket is overlapping my socket as it’s a shallow socket from my hip dysplasia I go for another revision surgery dec 3rd hopefully this will be my last hip surgery for at least 15 20 yrs then once my hip heals I go for knee surgery yikes
best thing i ever did for pain was one to one pilates reformer class
it was so good at stopping pain i felt the hip as good as my own
