So i posted on here about a month ago about feeling a lump in my throat . Its still there i can still eat and drink normally but it hurts when its going down passed one certain bit . I looked it up and cancer is only thing it comes up with .. ....doc not cocerned gave me inhaler and antibiotics . Thyroid bloods came back normal . Sometimes when i bend over i can actually bring food back up . Im so worried x
All I can suggest is you go back and see your GP with your concerns, may be some more tests may ease your mind.
Am going tomorrow but tests here take months to get
It's very common with anxiety and/or refulx - if the doc isn't concerned then there is no reason to worry. Stop googling, it's the worst thing you can do. Ask for treatment with general anxiety, it will help you more than anything else
Doctors don't take you seriously if you have anxiety! They will blow you off just like mine did! Have you done a endoscopy? I have a small hiatal hernia and have your exact symptoms. I now am changing my gp because every time I go to see him he say" oh no! Now what??" Unfortunately anxiety and depression prevents gp to take you seriously and misdiagnosing you!
I had one done about 3 years ago toom some biopsies but everything was clear .
Someone said if it was all clear then was a few years yet before i needed another one x
I agree having an "anxiety" lable can be frustrating, but it does not discount your symptoms could be Globus hysterias which can be anxiety. It also could be GERD.
Try a course of omeprazole, here in the States it's available at the pharmacy without a doctor script.
well said. How can they be sure that every sign and symptom is anxiety!!!
In my opinion when symptoms don't particularly fit an easy diagnosis the practitioner puts it down to anxiety and depression, they are usually busy and on a tight schedule and I feel that they are bothered if a patient keeps on going back to see them. I guess I have become cynical towards the medical staff in general..lol
Glad my former GP did not try to fob me off, turned out to be a dysgerminoma.
