Worried I am about to have an outbreak

So, I have spent all day worrying that I am about to get a recurrent outbreak. I was visually diagnosed but swab and bloods came back negative, although I have suffered from hsv1 for years. Basically, all day my vagina has felt off. I am feeling weird tingles and a little itch and when I look there is a slight discharge. In the past I would have said it was the start of a Yeast infection but now I am not so sure. I am worn out and heading away on Thursday morning on a holiday.

Tired of not knowing

What did you have that was visually diagnosed??

Something that looked like herpes. Tiny spots on my inner labia. They were uncomfortable on day 1 but almost gone by day 2. They were not typical to the pictures I have seen and didn't hurt when I peed etc. The swabs were done within 24 hours but both came back negative. I had bloods done but HSV2 came back negative, I have had HSV1 orally for years. I am also in a monogamous relationship for the last 8 years. The whole thing is so stressful. I have been uncomfotable today. Looks a bit red, but nothing else. At the time I was diagnosed I was using a fragranced toilet tissue and thought that might have caused it as it had been irritating me. I feel like I am living in limbo though, not really knowing what to expect or what I might suffer Highly stressed! Which isn't helping. And have had a coldsore on my lip the last week. Miserable.

I'm sorry sweetie! Hang in there! I'd get a second opinion. Don't go by a visual alone. It should have come up on the swab I'm surprised it didnt.

Just feel rotten. I mean they were sort of like pustules. But if it is HSV1 I can't see how I would have transferred genitally after all these years.

I think if I knew either way I would be dealing with this much better.

Worse, I have suffered from Yeast infections on and off for years, so not new to itching but now I am panicing everytime I itch! Then there are regular itches and other feelings. It is all too much!

Seems funny to be HSV-1. When did you test for HSV-2 in reason to your outbreak? Could it have been too soon in case this is somehow a new infection? If you do get another outbreak, do a PCR swab for peace of mind. No (or very few) false negatives like you get with a viral culture.
