hi my wbc is 14.9 and fluctuated from 13 to 15 over 4 yrs should i be worried i'm 53 and postmenopausal could i have something serious going on very worried
Hi its easy for me too say dont worry not so easy when it's you thats seeing slightly abnormal blood tests, what has your GP been testing you for, have you an infection of any kind, throat, urine even stress can increase it etc. Did you ask anyone yet to clarify the reason. Please dont check Dr Google because trust me he has no medical qualifications and will scare the #### out of you which is very unnecessary. Ring you Dr and get a telephone consultation to put your mind at rest. Please let me know how you get on
thanks for replying like i said in my post i've had this fluctuation for about 4 yrs never gone higher than 15 my first doctor was not concerned then i moved and the new gp wasnt concerned i moved to another area and this doctor sent me to haemotology which i cancelled i know i should have gone but i was so scared i was feeing ok had no symptoms or anything but the past 6 months i feel achey headachey and tired i have no weight loss but suffer health anxiety and on chlordiazopoxide 5mg and 10 mg propranolol but my regular gp said its nothing to be concerned over i went to doctors yday but couldnt see my reg gp had to see another one who basically put the **** up me and told me i should have gone i asked her if i should be worried and she said she will make me another appt with haemotologist i've had no sleep and going mad i can't understand that my reg doctor said it's nothing to get worried over as its only slightly raised it's when its 30 or above i should worry but its because its been like it for 4 yrs and not raised anymore not to worry i'm at my wits end
Please don't be offended, what's happening is your going from one Doc to the next one each time your being told its nothing to worry about but your obviously not believing them so you go to the next one, eventually they will send you for more tests which makes you think their must be something drastically wrong, your not considering that you need to stop, be rational 😄🤣 not easy with health anxiety, doctors will not just keep telling you its nothing to worry about if it was because you would be able to sue them big time, please stop living looking for it to be bad because stress will definitely increase certain blood tests results
sorry i did forget to mention i had different doctors for the reason of moveing to different areas and it is only my recent doctor who asked me to see haemotologist after routine bloodwork my other doctors never brought up the subject
