Is it normal too get your menstrual cycle twice in one month during premenopause
Hi Lisa,
I have the opposite ( I guess) experience. I have been skipping periods, then I have one that is the Mother Of All Periods. I sometimes think I am going to bleed to death. What does your gyno say? What about your mom or other older female relatives? I have gotten over feeling awkward about asking things. I need help and I am going to find it somewhere!!!
Im going in for an apppointment too see if evrything is okay which im convinced it is cause i talked too several people who i have know for yrs and said it common get it twice in one month and skip month, every individual different ,i talked one of my siblings and she basically said she had heavy at times etc etc
Hi Lisa,
Pre-menopause is the stage at which various hormonal changes take place in woman's body. However the response to these changes varies from individual to individual. It is observed that few ladies get polymenorrhea(multiple periods in a month) whereas few get delayed cycle duration. In both cases this change is acceptable. The thing we need to keep watch on is the quantity of blood loss which affects the hemoglobin and ultimately body status. In addition to this, routine health check after every 12 months, which primarily involves Pap smear test and USG abdomen is very important.
