worrying now

A week ago I finished work with a banging headache and the beginnings of a stiff neck. By Sunday afternoon I was at the hospital waiting for blood tests and results. Nothing was found but doc said maybe musculoskeletal disorder, so I was sent home with strong painkillers to cope with the pain of my extreme stiff neck and shoulders and my throbbing headache. By Tuesday I went to Doctors who said I had a slight temperature and the aching muscles were more widespread throughout my body, back, head, neck, arms and legs. Doc thought maybe an infection in my muscles so gave me antibiotics. Past couple of days I have woken up in the morning with extremely aching arms, so much so that i have not been able to lift them and my legs have been really uncomfortable and achy. I cant seem to sit comfortably with my legs and now this evening my hips have started to really hurt when I walk. I am worrying that maybe it could be the beginning of FMS. Some advice would be much appreciated.

if its fibro then it sounds like a flare which means something has triggered an extrem response .in your body

and it should reduce in few weeks.

iv just come thru a pain flare lasted 4 weeks ,pain 10 + everyday

its now down to around 3 .iv had fibro for 10yrs and have avoided meds as most have side effects simulair to fibro symptoms .

i use supplements and cope the best i can . but at least i know its my fibro and not side effectd from the meds .

I never had a temp but the muscle aches and pain from neck on down sounds like mine Right now 1:30 am was just up at 12:30 am heating up heating pads and in severe pain I want to cry. Can't work anymore because of everything going on. I hope that it's not and you feel better. Take care!!

There are many symptoms relating to fibro which is why it usually can take years for fibro to be diagnosed but you would normally have steady symptoms for a minimum of 6 months. You do not mention extreme fatigue, problems with short term memory/poor concentration, poor sleep, bowel disorders, hair and skin changes etc - the list of symptoms are endless and therefore due to you also having a temp which is not really fibro related, I thing you may have picked up a bug. The problem nowadays is as soon as we become unwell we google our symptoms and up will pop anything and everything which then causes us more worry and stress. I really doubt you have fibro as it's symptoms are long term but I wish you a speedy recovery from your illness :-(
