a bit of a set back. I began to get a little pain in one small area of the scar yesterday. It gradually got worse and had me up every hour during the night and was absolute agony by this morning. It felt as if it was very much near the surface and nowhere near the actual joint and very sore to touch.
I've been to a and e who examined the wound and could see one little bit which is red and much harder than the rest. I 'm now on antibiotics and increased doses of painkilłers with instructions to go back if it gets any worse at all or doesn't improve within 48 hours. I have also had to let Wrightington know.
feeling very sorry for myself.
Hope it heals up soon. Get well soon xx
That's awful for you and I can imagine quite scary. The antibiotics should help though. And it seems you've got it early.
Oh Dear Poor you..I feel so sorry for you. Let us know how things go.
Alice
So sorry for you, very painful.
How many weeks are you post op?
That is bad news, but at least you seem to have caught it early, so a dose of antibiotics should sort it out.
Amazing how few instances we hear of getting infection, not that that helps you.
Hope it clears very soon.
Best wishes
Graham 🚀💃
Oh gosh Thursday - I am so sorry to hear that. You are five or six weeks along aren't you? You must have been starting to relax and feel better. The antibiotics will do the job and you need to monitor it for the next 48 hours - I hope you are ok
Oh Joan, I am so sorry to hear this -
do you have a fever? Good that you went to Emergency room to have it checked -
take care and don't despair
big warm hug

Will you let us know how you are? I know we will all want to know are okay.
Sorry to hear about your infection. Wrightington might want you
to be on strong antibiotics, and maybe let your gp look.
We are quiet for Christmas as my husband got bacterial
pneumonia last week!
take care Cathie
No fever.
Cathie, so sorry about your husband. Hope he is soon better.
im on the strong antibiotics . Haven't had a response from Wrightington yet.
Poor you, you must be feeling utterly miserable. The antibiotics should clear it up as it sounds as though you got it treated quickly.
take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon.
Steph
Sorry to hear about your his and Cathie. I hope you're both well and active in a few weeks.

Much better today. Infected spot nowhere near as sore as yesterday so antibiotics are obviously kicking in. I can now sit comfortably and move about without pain.
i'm keeping my eye on it but I really think I'm over the worst.
Thank you. Turkey and mashed potato for xmas lunch!
Our sun is shining, I hope yours is too, and your Christmas
goes well.
love Cathie
I am glad you are on the strong ones. I hope they have kicked in,
by now, it can take a few days.
Infections nowadays need to be
attacked. My husband is on two different antibiotics at the same time, but
one of them causes nausea. His blood is being monitored. Here we
have a doc on call over Christmas, work is back to normal on
Monday in Portugal.
I hope your Christmas day goes smoothly.
love Cathie
Monday.
Thank you Cathie, I've already posted saying I am far better today so a/bs must be kicking in.
it will be a quiet Christmas here as I am on my own. Looking forward to my turkey and roasties and trimming.
Great news there.
Happy Christmas & 2016 🎄⛄️⭐️
