Wow - what a difference!

A good night's sleep makes! I didn't sleep well the first night in hospital (no pain, I just wasn't tired). I dozed on & off yesterday & then went for my last wee at 10.00 last night. I've slept all night & woke at 5.30 this morning (my usual time) & feel like a new person! Been up for a wee, brushed my teeth, walked up & down the corridor on my crutches & feel great. I'm doing stairs today so hopefully they'll let me go home. Big hugs to everyone for their well wishes. You really all don't know what a massive difference you have made to me pre-op, during & hopefully after. Thank you x

It really does make a difference. Glad you are up and about.

Brenda xx

Good for you. It really does make a difference when you sleep well.  I have just had my second night at home and last nights sleep was much better than the first night. Still not near enough sleep though.  I've been awake since 5, had a cuppa and now ready to go back to sleep.  I'm sure you'll be great on the stairs and off home very soon.  X

Thanks Jennifer. I know what you mean, I'm beginning to feel sleepy again now! I'll stay awake until breakfast at 8 (I'm having a bacon sandwich) & then I might have another nap! Hope you have a good day x

Great for you! You will be home tomorrow.I can see you are determined to put this past you and move on. You have a great positive attitude. I wish you a great and successful recovery.

In 3-4 months you'll be past the though part. Keep up with exercises and ask for swimming exercises much easier on th legs and you get to sit and soak in the hot tob after swim exercises and talk with others who have had THR or TKR.

TAKE CARE

Thank you x

Well done, you'll soon be home and recovery can start in earnest - not to mention  time to read all those good books you ever wanted.to read. X

Thanks Malloo x

Glad to see your doing well!!

Thank you x

I'm so pleased that you had a good night last night.  I take it that you are pleased not to have to use the bedpan!

You're obviously well on the way to making a good recovery - how good is that!

You're positive comments/experiences are so welcome, especially for those of use who are about to become hippies.

Best wishes and I look forward to reading further updates.

Sorry that should read '... especially for those of us.....'
