I am currently on 12.5 mg of atenolol. And my blood pressure is normally around 115/65. Will 0.125mg of Xanax lower my blood pressure? I heard these two meds together can lower your blood pressure too much so I'm concerned.
I'm on Propanolol 10mg once a day and I occasionally take a .25 Xanax with it when I'm feeling extra anxious. I asked my GP about it and he said it's not a problem since they're both such low doses. I would ask your GP to be sure though. I know atenolol is a beta blocker just like propranolol is.
Ok great. My GP said that I will be fine, I just wanted to see if anyone on this forum is on this combination. But how long have you been on Xanax. I'm also worried about becoming dependent on it as well.
.25 is a very small dose but it can be easy to get dependent on it. That is why you must take it sparingly. I take it as needed, about 2-3 times a week if that. sometimes I will go a week without taking any, and sometimes I'll be really anxious and have to take more. Just be careful with it, and you'll be fine
