Estuve en DLA de alta atención y motilidad durante 13 años hasta el pasado octubre cuando solicité PIP.
Para resumir, me concedieron atención estándar y movilidad estándar y me quitaron el coche una semana antes de Navidad, lo que me dejó confinada en casa.
Mi apelación obligatoria no cambió nada.
En enero fui a ver a los consejeros ciudadanos y me dijeron que tenía muchas posibilidades de ganar, pero me advirtieron de que sería un proceso largo.
Por fin llegó mi día y, para decirlo suavemente, estaba muy nerviosa...
El juez, el médico y la señora de la discapacidad fueron muy amables y escucharon todo lo que dije. La mujer del médico del PIP que vino a mi casa no anotó la mitad de mis problemas y afirmó que podía caminar 20 a 50 metros con muletas cuando en realidad soy usuaria de silla de ruedas. Cuando volvimos para el veredicto, dijo que no debería haber estado allí en primer lugar...
Ahora me han concedido atención mejorada y movilidad mejorada, además de 8 meses de pago atrasado.
Les aconsejo que si tienen que esperar por un tribunal, consigan toda la evidencia médica posible y esperen su momento y, POR FAVOR, POR FAVOR, no se rindan xxx
That's brilliant news, how bad is it that they considered you to be able bodied and on crutches when in reality your wheelchair bound, I'm a crutch and wheelchair user and under no circumstances do I think im able bodied, wish i was, but the fact that u pushed and followed through gives others hope that if you perceiver and give them the evidence that is irrefutable then your benefit will be reinstated.
Sí, ha sido un viaje de locos. Pero si al compartir mi historia puedo ayudar a una persona o animarla, entonces eso es un bonus.
No voy a mentir, estos últimos 8 meses han sido muy estresantes, con ellos quitándome el coche y reduciéndome el dinero.....PERO ahora que eso ha terminado, quiero ayudar a los demás.
Hoy llamé a PIP, para preguntar cuándo me pagarán el dinero que me deben..... respuesta = te pagaremos en los próximos 28 días porque estamos muy ocupados !!!!
Le pregunté a la mujer desagradable por qué tengo que esperar tanto para cobrar, viendo que me quitaron el dinero muy rápido. Todo lo que dijo fue "son las reglas"
The reason they take so long is because they have the same chance that we do to appeal the decision. As it's the Tribunal to be able to appeal it they must first ask for the statement of reasons, then they must find an error in law on making the decision. This is very rare but it can happen. They also have the same amount of time to appeal it which is 1 month from the date of the decision.

Yes i believe it does. You won't be able to order that car until you have confirmation from DWP because it's that letter of entitlement you'll need to place that order. The waiting time is always the worst!
No they won't even let you provisionally order it. They wouldn't let me last year when i got awarded Enhanced mobility. I rang a dealer that i wanted to test drive a car from. Told them that i'd just been awarded the Enhanced but was waiting for confirmation, they said to order it they'd need the award letter. The only thing i could have done was test drive the cars. In the end i waited for the letter then went. Great fun being able to test drive those cars. My car is my life and have no idea what i'd do without it now. Hopefully damara you won't have to wait too long.
