YESS!!! no crutches.

YES!!!!!!  I have just been to see the consultant and handed in my crutches to physio .....leg bend is 120 and straightening still needs some work but they are not concerned. Still to do the exercises and physio. Next  appointment in 6 weeks and then it will be 6 months.

Oh it feels so good to know everything is going well.  Makes you feel a lot better.   8 weeks post op tomorrow.

WELL DONE YOU!!!! 😉😉😉😀😀😀

Excellent - keep up the good work.

Oh it feels sooo good.... I knoe I have to take care and walk slowly for a time.. but will get there.....thanks

Thanks, it can be a long time before healing is fully finished, took what seems like ages for my left knee ( 6 months to bend fully)  but now to concentrate on my right knee straightening....pills, exercise, ice and heat according to the consultant.

Congratulations, I could only wish.

Yeah you will and you will then find you can suddenly walk a little quicker!! I'm so pleased for you. It certainly make you feel 100 times better. 😀😀😁😀😁

Don't be disheartened it will happen to you before you know it! 😉😉😉

That's brilliant Hazel. It must be a great feeling. I'm still way off at 10 weeks post op. I see mine tomorrow to find out if they're going to operate again to improve straightening. I'll get there some day like you.

Well done x

Congrats, It's a great feeling not having to use crutches or a cane!

So happy everything is going well, keep up the good work.

Well done I am 5 weeks post op so a way to go before I get there

great!  I was told no more crutches at six weeks, but if I'm out and about where there may be steep steps with no handrail, I like to have one with me!  120 is good . . still struggling at 110! . . .Good to hear the success stories as well as the problems!

It will happen soon and you will be over the moon...

My straightening is not too good, but they (consultants) not worried as long as I do the home exercises and keep going to physio. Fingers crossed you will let us know good news tomorrow.

Thanks, they never even mentioned a cane so kept my mouth shut!  didn't want one.

It takes time Sharon, I think because I had my left knee done 7 years ago they knew I understood what was needed to take care and keep on.

I go down stairs very slowly, 'cos I know the dangers involved.  so taking that into consideration I think I talked them into letting me go crutch free...wonderful day even if it is rainging!

great news I am really pleased for you well done

I will be thinking of you, hope you do not have to have further surgery, best wishes

For my therapy I used a cane instead of crutches.
