Well done Caron........ now your one of us post ops lol get a good nights sleep if you can the work starts tomorrow Love and hugs Gillxx

I had spinal with sedation, felt nothing saw nothing and heard nothing back in ward after 2 hours ... will go that way again..Love Gill xx

Well done I am waiting for a date to have my 2nd one done in Sept hopefully if not october I feel very calm about having it done, what will I do different, not a lot except try not to walk to soon, because last time a week after the op I tried walking round a shop for 2 hours boy did I know about it the next day, as gill says plenty of rest, doing what you are told and pain killers and come on here regularly when you say how well you have done or not we will all be listening and giving our pennysworth of advice when needed we are all here for you xx

First step over. Take all the pain meds you're offered tomorrow and don't get too tired out. I just feel asleep despite having visitors in. It a big op. Be kind to yourself..xxx

Well done Caron,

so glad it all went well for you, I cant beleve you were awake, you must have heard the saw and drill OMG!! you are brave!! have a speedy recovery,

hugs,

Lynne x

I too had an epidural with sedation, it is in my opinion the best option, as you can start to recover quicker than a general, it helps with pain relief, you can drink and eat sooner (this aids recovery )

yes you may have to have a catheter for a day, small price to pay!

i woke up whilst they were glueing me!

i was thinking general at the start of my journey, but I'm glad I chose the epidural!

good luck with your hip journey.
