Your health status is a big success factor

Hi guys,

I’m 67 years old and just had the Urolift  procedure this morning at 7:30 am. Immediately upon waking up, in recovery,I had the urge to urinate so  was quickly discharged within 30 minutes.  My urine was initially cranberry colored, not very dark red.   By now 1:30 EST it is almost clear and the burning is gone.

I have to admit that I did expect these positive results, although not so dramatically positive. The reason for this is my excellent health status. Whether testing my lipid’s, my sugar levels, my stress and cortisol markers and every other test in a complete blood workup, I am in the ideal to normal range for every single test. I have no health issues other than age related osteoarthritis.  My BMI is 22.87 and I work out as strenuously as a 30-year-old.

I am a firm believer in selecting foods that provide optimum health status in addition to a good rigorous, interval training workout program.

Basically, you are what you eat and excepting any biological or physiological congenital issues, excellent health status is a reliable predictor of excellent procedure outcomes.

I would not promote this procedure or any  procedure for a person who knows that they are not in the best of shape. Weight management and physical activity are important factors for whole body health.  Have all of those in order and that Urolift is a piece a cake.

Hi rickbeard,

I am just waiting for an appointment with my urologist to have the urolift procedure.I have to ask the question .After the procedure a patient still has an enlarged prostate, right ?

Do you find you still have problems with this or does it matter when the urethra is now open .

I am glad you have found this procedure satisfactory .I just hope it works for me as well.I am 60 , in relatively good health , I too work out well.I could lose a liitle more weight but nothing major .

Regards.

I have been taking finasteride for about four years so my prostate had shrunk to  a normal size.   I don’t think this is a requirement for the procedure, however, I would check with your urologist. It is been a little over 48 hours since the procedure and I have no discomfort, and waking up much less frequency during the night and my stream is 10 times stronger. The minor bleeding stopped within 12 hours  and so far I couldn’t be happier with the results

Hi rickbeard.

Thanks for the quick reply .So if you don't mind my asking , what was your problem .I thought the urolift procedure clipped the prostate thereby opening the urethra to allow emptying the bladder in one go, thus reducing frequency .

Did you have any side effects from Finasteride ?

Regards.
