your help needed

Hi

I wondered if someone could give me some advice and maybe some re-assurance, I have been suffering high levels of anxiety and daily panic attacks for around 6 weeks now, I have been prescribed Citalopram 10mg to help, but being my normal anxious self I am a little unsure if to take them, I am worried about the side effects, the dependancy etc

will i be able to get my life back? go to work, go to the shops, see friends.

hope someone can help

kind regards

Hi helen, thats how i was..i went on citalopram nearly 8 weeks ago now.I was having panic attacks every week, then i callapsed outside my boys school,i became agrophobic and couldnt even pop to the little shop.Since being on these (touch wood)i havnt had a panic attack for nearly 7 weeks.I felt naff the first 3,4 weeks but didnt have any attacks, just anxiety really. But im now out and about again.I still get anxious but not as bad as i was.please, please try these.I was so bad i thought i was going mad,i can honestly say im so much better.just give them time and i can promise you you will notice a difference...its one day at a time.im always on here so if u need any advise please ask....let me know how you get on.theres some lovely people on here to chat to.good luck.kim.x

hi helen. funny isntit...were prescribed these because of anxiety, then we are too anxious to take them!

well i was just like you 3months ago..if not worse, until i came across this site..read other peoples comments, and went for it! a few dull headaches later and anxiety has subsided, unless i have really anxious moments (ie dentist!), but in the main..it isnt worse so must be doing something eh1...so, yes give them a go, could it be any worse ask yourself....

good luck, go for it, take care alyxxx

Hi Helen, how are you? Have you managed to take this pill yet?

try and be brave about whatever you decide to do- its your decision at the end of the day, I hope it works for you. Take care, katy
