My 17 year old daughter is 1 yr post thr
She was doing well until last week, she has pain in her thigh and feels like the stem moved in her femur. There is also a clicking noise when she walks.
Anyone experienced similar?

No - but I think it would be a good idea to get it checked out by the doctor. It may be nothing, but better to err on the side of caution if this is something different.
I am also one yr post op and was doing really well. Then I started to get thigh pain off and on. Just like your daughter I'm pretty sure i feel my stem has loosened up. No clicking or any pain in the joint. Just feel this in my thigh. I had a bone scan and blood work done. No infection. However my surgeon said there is some loosening. I go see him on dec 15th. I can't wait to see him and see what the next step is. While I don't want to go through another surgery I'm hoping it is an option. So definitely get it checked out!!!
I think I would book an appointment with the consultant, that definitely doesn't sound right - I am a year on nearly not quite, but we are roughly the same, and I don't have any pain or noises at all...I would be worried if I was her too.. I hope she is okay, please let us know how she is.
I took her to the Drs, they are suspected an infection, so glad I took her. Shes been put on major antibiotics, had an X-ray and had blood tests. The bloods are back, there is a slight increase in one of the markers they look for so their repeating the bloods on Monday. Go back for the X-ray results on Wednesday.
Fingers crossed for her. It is unusual to get an infection after so long poor thing. Can you let us know how she is...I am sure you are pleased you took her straight away - the quicker the antibiotics are in her system the better.
I had my first THR in 2010 and the second in 2011. I have been having groin and thigh pain all the time. I know how she must feel. I fell a few times and am not real steady on my feet. Did all my rehab but am still having problems.
I'm thinking she should go back to her surgeon because maybe her device has loosened up. Sounds like you are doing all the right things getting her medical care. Hope all goes well with her.
