I was curious how long it takes for the internal bruising and soreness to calm down. Its mostly on my right side. When I breathe, or move.
Still have the whole "blah" feeling in my stomach too. I can eat, but it just feels....sour I guess? I'm not taking any medications except for Tylenol or motrin occasionally for the soreness or a headache.
I can tell I'm getting better... very slowly.
One of the hardest parts though is sleeping. I will fall asleep good, however I wake up at like 4 in the morning every morning and cannot go back to sleep even though I am so so tired... Its driving me nuts.
I am trying very hard to be patient with the process, I guess I just miss my life.
Any words of encouragement?
as others will tell you, you must take it easy, small eats, lots water. 4get excersises you can damage yourself, we all heal differently depending how gb removal went, some weeks, some months some years, i was sent home they just said take it easy for couple weeks, given no meds no follow up, rest as much as you can,
Hi it took me 3 months to heal inside and out. Be patient. You will recover. I couldn't sleep either. Hurt just to move. Been there. As a month passes you will feel better. Hang in there ok. My fellow non gallbladder friend. We are special.
Yes, your body is getting accustomed to losing a part and your mental self has to adjust because our bodies have schedules and night time is part of it with digestion. Your doing grand and are a smart girl, dont worry and smile you have another day at 4 AM and try listening for the morning call, might even send you back to sleep.
Well done and take care.
