HI all, so two nights ago when i was sitting on the sofa watching tv, i felt a small non painful pulse on the left side of my head along with left sided body tingling like sensation, i could still stand, speak and see clearly but it scared me that i might have a stroke so later on when i felt it again my friend called the ambulance because i told her i was afraid , once they arrived i sat in the truck for about an hr or two as the doctor guy 😂 explained to me about strokes and such and that i was healthy and he didnt see any signs of one, he also told me to get like a psychologist for my anxiety since he could clearly tell i was a nervous scared anxiety filled person, he also said the chances of me a 17 yr old having a stroke or aneurysm wasnt very likely, he actually got me to calm down and i felt such at peace in mind after hearing all that , and so the next day everything for me was fine until i was going to bed drifting off the left side of my head felt tingling which also affected the left side of my body to slightly feel like too i also sometimes get a small ache in the left side of my head that goes away and comes back at random, its not painful but its still recognizable, so then i tried to remember what the guy told me and wanted to sleep again but this time while drifting off i felt the numb tingling on my whole head And not in my body just my head, im scared that the left sided aches i get might be a tumor now or something, i never get blurry vison from these or anything, and i can move just fine but, its hard for me to think, its just anxiety when it keeps happening, and mostly just my left side
it sounds like classic anxiety symptoms. I have had the exact symptoms you have with the head numbness, tingling and affecting that side of the body. Anxiety produces those symptoms plus many more. The key to managing it is to get help for your anxiety. Counseling can really help. It’s difficult to do alone and it feels great to vent to somebody else. The counselor will help you figure out what is causing anxiety in your life and help you deal with it.
Also, if you are anxious when trying to sleep, there are some really great meditations on YouTube for anxiety, sleep, fear, etc. they really calm me down and i usually falls sleep before they are over.
I really like one called it’s OK to by Lauren. Her voice is so relaxing and she makes you feel like everything is going to be OK.
i know those symptoms can feel really weird and scary, but remember, no symptoms related to anxiety can hurt you.
you are too young to have a stroke so don’t even give that a second thought.
another Thing thing that is very important and really calm you down is proper breathing technique. You can also find this on YouTube. Search for mindfulness breathing guided meditation in 10 minutes. There are many more also.
do things that relax your mind like listening to Nature Sounds which you can find on YouTube, going for walks, laughing with friends and family etc. You’re going to be OK. We are here for you
:‘) thank you for replying i feel a bit better , but earlier i looked up toms symptoms of aneurysm after i felt this weird ache in the middle of my left ear and a bit in my head at the same time, i also get pains in my cheekbone on the left and its scary!! are u sure this is just anxiety :’( and not an unruptured aneurysm?
do you know if you have migraines? migraines can cause vision problems when there’s auras. they als may only affect a side of your brain too. idk just a thought.
