So two months ago i was exercising my knee in bed (dislocated 2 months prior) and i did the stupid thing of stretching knee toward my chest while craning my top half forward and i felt a sharp pinch under my left pec. Soon after, i began feeling pains in my chest and arm and general discomfort in my belly. Fast forward after an E.R visit, they told me i had impacted stool and said my chest and arm pain was trapped gas and told me to take magnesium citrate to loosen it. In these past two months, ive slowly gotten better while changing my diet and eating less but now i get these mild aches on both sides of my lower back. Ive begun to believe this is discomfort in my intestines as food travels through? My diet has begun reintroducing some of my old diet with heavier foods and carbonated drinks. Today i ate a good bit of different things until full and have had urges to go to the bathroom all day. Soon after dinner, i began to get those back aches again which only intensified in pain into the night. The only thing that makes those pains lessen is laying on my back. Could my impacted stool event be the cause? Ive spent alot of time in bed because of my dislocated knee and have recently began moving around alot more to exercise like walking and squats. Could this increased movement have caused this? I feel i mightve hurt my intestine that night i felt the pinch but E.R did an xray and found nothing but impacted stool. I have so many questions and no answers. edit: after staying up most of the night, i woke up with my sides aching again but not as severe. I passed soft stool in the morning and now i just passed alot of mucus. Mucus also showed up in the first few days when i took magnesium citrate.
Hello, I’ve felt pain in my back when I’ve been constipated or had gas before, at 1st I thought the pain was kidney related but realized it was relieved when I was finally able to clear out my bowels. How’s the pain now?
