50mg sertaline

Hi all. Been on sertaline now going on 4 weeks. First few weeks on 25 and now on 50.

Anyone finding that you could just lie down all day and do nothing? I am usually very active but the last few days I am struggling to get myself motivated. Anxiety levels are crazy first thing then seem to die down and then this happens. I wonder if it my body wantin to chill as been a hectic few years

Any thoughts please

Are your anxiety levels crazy when you first wake? And what time of day do you take your meds?

Hi Helen. I'm taking the meds about 10pm. Doc said best to take at night as most people then sleep through the side effects.

Bought some camomile tea today so going to try that.

Well if your GP told you to take it at night then I would stick with that. To be honest I take mine first thing in the morning to get me through the day but the first weeks I had awful side effects but I just hung in there (cussing and more cussing as I rode it out, lol) and now it has levelled out. Still cussing mind you No cure for that but then anxiety needs a few expletives thrown at it now and then.

Chamomile tea is awesome, Jay. I drink four cups a day, not that I like it mind you, but because it really helps, so I'm pleased you are trying it because those who do as a rule swear by it

Feeling exhausted is common with Ad, especially when you've had a rough time previous to its emergence. When I first had Ad I could have slept for England, I could have won awards for weariness and apathy. But I believe that was down to me trying to "fight" the symptoms, fearing and shrinking from them. It requires an enormous amount of energy to pretend you feel normal when the symptoms are bombarding you. Once I got to grips with going with it, accepting it, much of my energy resurfaced and this in itself was healing, burning off the dreaded adrenalin surplus.

You just keep on going honey. Okay? You're doing great!

Hugs from Helen

Thanks my love. As always such comforting words.

P's the tea does taste like horse piddle... not that I have tasted it before 😉

Doesn't it just! Not that I have tasted horse piddle either...but we are creatures gifted with imagination, Jay, lol

I'm glad you posted because it always helps to share thoughts about what is going on with us instead of worrying them into the ground.

Keep in touch with me.....otherwise I will hunt you down and force feed you chamomile tea by the gallon

Hugs from Helen

the sertraline is supposed to calm you and relax you so you  may be a little drowsy and less anxious.
