Hi guys, could someone please advise me on whether sertraline can leave you feeling numb to emotions?
I have been taking Zoloft for 5 weeks for depression, anxiety and intrusive thoughts. The depression is lifting slowly but I'm finding myself still anxious and quite numb to emotions. Do you think this will wear off over time or do you think sertraline is making me feel this way?

Hi Lotty. I'm afraid I feel the same after 6 months however on brighter side I think it does work well for other people and I know docs would say it's early days for you. Best wishes
Without a doubt its sert making u feel this way discuss with your doc abt changing ur dose to address ur anxiety or change meds

It can make you feel removed definitely. I personally could not get on with it initially.
The Doctor prescribed me 50 mg which I took for a month but I found it made me worse, more Anxious, more morose and I was complete mess. Strangley the Doctor suggested increasing the dose. I decided to half the dose to just 25 mg and I have been on this a year now and feel so much better on the lower dose. However we are all differentand I am no way suggesting you do that but for me persnally by doing this I felt more myself and less numb/out of it.
