I have just had my 6 week check up over the phone.
Everything is going well so I can start driving again and dispose of the aids I was given e.g. cushion, toilet seat, grabber and crutches.
The surgeon was keen to emphasise how “horrible” my hip had been. It seems the femoral head had collapsed and that’s why I was in so much pain.
Anyway, he said I can look forward to improving even more over the next year and the replacement should last “many decades”. (I’m not sure I will though.)
Well done, that all sounds good. That’s unusual to have the check up by phone but guess that’s the time we’re in now. Don’t overdo things however, go easy with yourself.
The surgeon would have seen me in person had there been any issues but all is going well.
