A new symptom every other day

I and 50 year old without period for 2 months now. Every time I miss my period, my weight goes up. I am getting these symptoms on and off

Dizziness

  • Water retention

  • Melasma

  • Hair thinning

  • Gerd

  • Anxiety

  • Headache

  • Fluctuating thyroid panel

  • Fluctuating bp

an so on. I am sick and tired of always dealing with some symptom or the other. Menopause has robbed me of my life. I miss the fun and motivation in my life.

Really exhausting. Menopause can cause a lot of these symptoms but with the dizziness, headaches, BP changes and thyroid results, don’t assume that everything is from menopause.

I would suggest to talk to your doctor and mention all of the symptoms together rather than one at a time.

I know, but I got my heart checked, ct scans, abdomen and thyroid scans. All good. I have had dizziness for 5 years now. I was told it’s PPPD.

Firstly I’m a guy so don’t suffer with menopause but listen to Jenny even try a different doctor or doctors surgery if necessary to get to the bottom of it as it could be something of nothing or it could be something that needs addressing but our doctors can be lazy some just brush u off but there are still some good ones so don’t leave it unaddressed I did this and it basically has ruined my life I’ve had scans /MRI s since 2009 due to nocturnal fitting doctor said it was fine nothing to worry about neurologist also said the same etc then in. 2017 I lost feeling in left side speech went etc also throughout the years I’ve battle tiredness declining mental health and so on I was rush into hospital with a suspected mini stroke MRI was done results came back I got told I was fine again and it was unlikely a mini stroke all though years I just tried coping the best I could until last year I was getting constant migraine for over a month sent for mri which came back with there being no reason showing for causing the migraine but luckily my GPS partner was a neurologist and I believe he’s seen the scans and spots I’ve had a cerebellar Infarct which I a rare stroke but also when I was getting this looked at after being found a different neurologist goes to dismiss me until I mention about some symptoms I’ve had so he looks closer at the scans and notices I’ve also had a right side frontal lobe stroke but where I was only 26 when the first happend they should of investigated to find cause I just trusted them and thought it was fine the second one could of been prevented if the first was diagnosed properly etc instead I’ve just accepted it and end results is basically it ruined my life I had to give up work I’ve alienated family and where both died they will never know the struggles were real I will never have children now and have not managed to achieve any of my life goals sorry for the essay but point is to not let it go unaddressed until you know the cause and getting some form of treatment that will help as they are there to help us
