Since July I’ve had abdominal pain in my upper left abdomen then gradually over to the right. The area above my belly button is tender to touch almost like a bruising sensation and firm. All of my blood levels and bloodwork have been normal, EKG/stress tests normal, my colonoscopy was normal, my abdominal ultrasound was normal and showed no abnormal masses, my doctor recommended a HIDA scan even though the ultrasound showed no visible gallstones in my gallbladder or inflammation of any of my organs. I’ve had a couple enlarged lymph nodes in my neck in the last couple months and a CT scan showed that they were just reactive. Though I took antibiotics and they haven’t shrunken. My thyroid is fine. I also have a history of GERD. Any idea what could be causing this? Especially the opinion of any medical professionals on here?

I meant to add that I’ve also had a barium and an MRI which were normal as well.

Was your HIDA scan normal?  Swollen lymph glands can be a response to infection.  Maybe you need a stronger antibiotic.  Have you had stool tests to look for infections such as h pylori?  Have your bowel habits changed?  Try a food diary.  Have you eaten anything you would not normally eat?
