Acid reflux and eating worry

HI, I have been super depressed. I Cannot eat at all. i dont enjoy food anymore especially since i have anxiety and acid reflux. i have been taking the acid reflux medication and it does not work and its so scary. its been going on for a month. the doctor doesnt think i need to do any testing because i had an endoscopy last year and they know i have acid reflux. but every time i eat i get nervous and i feel like even when im not nervous i cannot eat or enjoy food

are you eating the right foods for acid reflux? It makes a big difference. Avoid foods high in acid which are acidic foods. You should be eating foods that are higher in alkaline. You can find these online but what you should be eating is a lot of vegetables , Celery is very high in alkaline so I like to snack on it. Pears, raisins, And bananas are good too. But you really want to avoid red meat, soda, spicy foods, all junk food, like I said you can find these online. Make sure you stay hydrated with plenty of water.
something else that is really important is to lower your stress level because stress and anxiety contribute to acid reflux. You can listen to some great relaxing meditations for anxiety on YouTube. I do these every day especially when I lay down to sleep.
so try to relax your mind as much as possible however you can.
Eat small frequent meals rather than three large ones and eat slowly. This helps a lot. You’ll be OK take care

Hi,
I’m exactly the same. I’m taking omeprazole but I haven’t seen any improvement. I’ve lost enjoyment and interest in food. I’m scared to eat and feel like I can’t breathe, am choking and find it hard to swallow whether I’m eating or not.

I know my anxiety and depression contributes to it but I feel like the anxiety only got really bad when this acid reflux started. The bloating, burning, pains, throat sensations and nausea make me panic all day. Eventhough I have cut out acidic foods, I haven’t felt any better.
