Advice regarding bad hip pain flare up for someone with ankylosing spondylitis?

He has had bad back and hip pain from sleeping on a “hard bed” for a 3 day trip recently, and today said he is in agony over hip pain. Ibuprofen isn’t helping him

What to suggest / do?

I’ve tagged the arthritis group because AS is a form of it apparently and I can’t find an AS group

I am using piriformis stretches daily. It does not always work , but some days it does, Hopefully this can help.
