Anal Eczema or Herpes?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to figure out what this is.

I don’t think it’s Herpes. Even if this was already the healing process of an outbreak. It was never l bumpy or filled with any fluids.

Could it be an STI like gonorrhea, or syphilis or chlamydia?

Could it be just irritated and an eczema? I do wipe a lot. Using wet wipes really hurts right now actually. It’s not painful when I wipe with regular toilet paper, just itchy.

this does look like an outbreak. i would go to the doc and ask for a test. if you can get a swab test rather than blood test they are more accurate

You are right. Just received the lab results. Positive for HSV 1.

yes it was a swab test

the nice thing about HSV1 is that you are not as likely to get out breaks. HSV2 breaks out more than HSV1 when on the genitals
