i had ankle hardware removal 6 weeks ago , only 2 pins, but got a post surgery infection was on antibiotic iv for 5 days and now oral . the lain is better around the scar buy my ankle is still swelling if i am on it very much. ice helps as does elevating it im so worried all the infection isnt gone i feel like ive regressed 6 mthafter the first surgery to fix the break i also got an infection so so worried about how long it will take to get back to normal

no he didnt i think im reacting to the antibiotic . I’m so tired and bit nauseous
Hello. You need to get a blood test to find out what infection you have. You could be in danger

i know they did blood work, but said no infection in the blood how else would they tell what kind it is?
sorry about the probs youre having, it a concern to me as my dr plans to remove some of the hardware from my ORIF in ankle i had done in back in March, its planned for the end of this year due to pain.
Your wound should be swabbed to do cultures to find which type of infection you have. I hope it settled for you.
