So I guess the term Que sera sera is true. I mean it has to be right? The future is the future it's already set in stone and that's how things are going to be. But with how My health anxiety works I find myself thinking what if there's something that the doctors missed. And years later a doctor tells me "if I had treated that earlier" I would've been OK. Why is that such a big fear?
Because as Anxiety sufferers we dont like the 'Grey' areas, things are better Black or White.

not sure I agree with that doctor. That just leaves people with no hope.
I had major health anxiety starting in my 20s with all kinds of symptoms . Back at that time ( I am now in my 50s ). I had absolutely no help. The doctor just told me to take a vacation. I had no Internet support like this site, and I basically felt hopeless and like I was the only one in the world who had this condition. It was awful.
so I stayed that way for many years wondering if I had some terrible disease, I had no idea what was going on!
years later, I decided I couldn't live like this anymore. So I did some research on stress and anxiety, finally found an excellent counselor who specializes in anxiety, changed my lifestyle to getting regular exercise, eating healthier, taking a class on mindfulness which teaches you how to change your negative thinking and regain your peace of mind. there is also the book called mindfulness that is excellent.
Now, I listen to guided mindfulness meditation's for anxiety found on YouTube. I do this a couple times a day and it completely calms me down. Many of the meditations also teach you how to eliminate negative thinking. What I realized was that the negative thinking I had all those years was like poison to my mind and body. It was not based on fact, but it caused a living hell for me producing symptoms of anxiety and fear. Today I can manage any anxiety right away and I don't have any of the physical symptoms anymore.
So, we do have the power to change our future. If I can do it anyone can because I'm not a strong emotional person.
The future is NOT set in stone, you can change your future. It's not set in stone because the future does not exist yet. All we have is today and yesterday are memories.
so I just want you to know that you CAN change what you do not like. You have to be relentless and fight for yourself. . You know yourself better than anyone. Doctors really don't do much for anxiety other than prescribe medication. It's not like they can see it such as a broken arm. All they can do is suggest getting counseling,which is very helpful. The rest is up to us.
all anxiety begins in the brain. The brain must be calmed down in order to feel relief from anxiety. So do things you enjoy, listen to the meditations, take a walk in nature, be active and social. Chances are, you are young and healthy.
FEAR stands for false evidence appearing real. When our minds go to the negative, we think something is horribly wrong with ourselves . Fear is not based on fact and it is anxiety about the future. Please don't do what I did which was waste over 20 years of my life fearing the future. I could've been enjoying those years because nothing bad ever happened.
Live and enjoy your life! If you need to, get some counseling for anxiety, and remember if you spend today with worry and fear about the future, the day is gone and you will never get it back.
Live in the present and prepare for the future but don't stress over it because stress and fear won't add one day to your life, but it will take away today.
