Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone suffers from this as it’s driving me insane!! About 4 weeks ago I had a panic attack out of no-where, and ever since I’ve had different things causing them (I think mainly to do with health and thinking the worst) anyway this week i’ve been constantly focusing on my breathing, as soon as I wake up i’m laying there trying to feel my breath out of my mouth and feel my stomach going up and down, when I don’t think about it, my mind quickly snaps into thinking I’m not breathing properly, does anyone have this and if so any tips?
Thanks a lot.
Yes, not sure if it’s the same but for about a year now I have been experiencing breathing issues. At first it felt like a frozen chest. I would take a deep breath but I couldn’t feel my chest expand, I couldn’t get enough air. It was a sensation of numbness sort of. It’s really hard to explain. At this point I have learned to cope with it. My dr hasn’t been able to figure it out. I’ve had multiple test done and nothing. Im getting an MRI done next week on my lower part of my body. That weird mumbming sensation has now spread through my entire body and it’s scary. So not sure if this is what ur experiencing. I’ve also had the shortness of breath and tight chest, all do to Anxiety.
Hi luis thanks for the reply, that doesn’t sound fun at all, I hope you can get it sorted, parts of it sound similar to what I get, the only reassurance that I get that I know it’s anxiety is that when I’m busy with something the feeling of breathlessness goes away...deep in mind I know I’m breathing okay but the front of my mind tells me I’m not and need to act on it. Hard to ignore but hopefully will pass.
Yes I do the same ! It does get better and you think about it less ! Just remember your body automatically breaths xx
