Anxiety and fear of facing the day yet again

hi everyone

i have been suffering with worry anxiety for 5 years, lately I've been off work for 1 month

my anxiety levels have shot up yesterday to something I never experienced before. So today I'm even more afraid of my day and how I will cope, yesterday I went for a cycle and then ikea just to do something. Didn't enjoy any of it and ikea was a nightmare as the anxiety was huge

i am scared of taking anti depressant but feel it is time

but I'm so worried of the getting worse before getting better, as I can't see myself coping with worse

anyone in my shoes?

anyone who positively went onto anti depressants and found positive outcome even though they were absolutely crippled with anxiety? All this xanax is no longer working well

cheers

Hello I was hopless for a while then tapered onto zoloft carefully with a doctors help and advice.  I was happy for a year and would have stayed on forever but I gained allot of weight.  Its been nearly two years and Im facing depression and anxiety again and thinking about going back on.  Jus more careful with my diet and excercise.  It really does help you just need the right drug and dosage to help heal yourself and trasform your life.

Hi.Same thing happened to me.I was on Paxil for 20 years for IBS/anxiety.Then I had a real bad stretch of IBS/anxiety/depression so they weaned me off of Paxil and put me on Mirtazapine and Gabapetin along with Tramadol replacing Ibprofin for back pain from IBS.It has helped but at least with me because of all the adding and subtracting of drugs it took awhile for me to stabilise.Every person is different so you can't go by my experience. But by all means, under a docs supervision take the meds if it helps you feel better. The point is to take care of yourself, body AND soul.Hop all works out.Prayers your way.God Bless You,Bob

Feels like there's no right answer guys, why do people have to suffer so much? Possibly even the nicest of people.

when I hear all those stories of trial and error it really doesn't put my hopes up sad

Bob. Sound like a lot of meds, I have crohns too

tried a fodmap diet but lost a lot of weight and I think muscle strength too

so back on normal as after 2 months I didn't feel any better

does your ins come and go with weeks interval

do you think it's trapped wind?

ithats what I suffer from most with the bowel thing, and I must say.  Lately I have been drinking star anise tea home made boiled and left to stand for 6 minutes and it's seems to work

usually I can end up in hospital due to total bloating and blockage, can't eat or drink, so caught early seems to work so far, worked 2/2 so far
