I have panic attacks and GAD. many years ago, when I was bed fast pretty much and not on so much medicine; I had thoughts or thinking that I couldn't get rid of. Was that OCD? It's an anxiety disorder of course. When I got on my meds things were helped, but no more thoughts I couldn't get rid of. Of course I wasn't doing actions repetitively and such. Does everyone go by the DSM-V? Even in the UK?
Hi Billc l believe you were having repetitive thoughts which is known as ruminating where that would be classified as OCD l don't know l think many people with anxiety suffer this way of thinking.DSM V is used in the US only UK uses the World Health Organisation international Classification of diseases known as ICD.
If you mean ICD-10 or so we use that over here. It's for insurance. Insurance codes. And it is by WHO. DSM is diagnostics. Highly politically motivated and changeable. If I remember right to ruminate and OCD are different. In the DSM. IDK how the UK diagnosis. I will check into WHO and diagnostics. THis was causing anxiety. When my medication built up to a certain level. This all stopped. If I cut clonazepam I have odd thoughts. If I cut Paxil, At night I see the darkness more and get headaches and anxiety. I and my Dr. would like to see me on less clonazepam.
I mean the darkness moves oddly. Sorry need to clarify.
