Does an increase in oestrogen actually help to relieve symptoms of anxiety?
Hi Alison I think it’s the imbalance of the hormones that causes the adrenal glands to be over stimulated and that’s what causes the additional feelings of anxiety and tension.
I think low progesterone will make you more anxious as i think that’s the calming hormone.
I’m taking tibolone hrt but I get very anxious and have bad mood swings so I’m just trying to avoid stressful situation and negative people as much as I can and that works for me
Positive thoughts even during difficult situations will relieve your symptoms.
Hope this helps, merry Christmas to you XX
Thank you. I have mirena coil and just increased evorel patch Friday so hopefully that will help. Happy Boxing Day to you
I have just had my Femoston 1/10 changed to 2/10 to see if that helps.
I hope it helps. We deserve a break x
Hi Alison, i know this works for some ladies. I 've been on HRT for 5 years now but anxiety is still my biggest issue, I've learnt that the imbalance of hormones impacts the nervous system & adrenal glands (as well as neurological) which cause the anxiety related issues, ie chest tightness shortness of breath dizziness off balance difficulty sleeping or staying asleep etc. So I've been focusing for over a year now on foods that support the nervous system and adrenal glands as well as doing multiple deep breathing exercises throughout day, this has helped me cope and manage anxiety but not get rid of it. But now I can manage it better I don't get full blown panic attacks. Hope your increase in hormones helps you 😊
