Any success stories on Effexor for Generalized Anxiety and or Panic Attacks?

Please only success stories, I have read enough bad ones, I'd like to read about positive ones, thank you in advance.

My main concern is obviously all the stories about how hard it is to stop, so I'm very scared to take it. I'm scared that if I take it and it doesn't work, I won't be able to stop it. So I'm looking for positive success stories on it.

Also if it worked for you, how long did it take to work for anxiety?

Hi I’ve had anxiety for about 6 years now, I got so bad I didn’t leave my house for a very long time. I’m now able to go out and talk to people and even stay at my partners house. I’ve come a long way to get where I am now, the anxiety is there sometimes but I’m just used to it now. You never get rid of anxiety but it gets easier to mange now. When I never used to leave my house I thought I would never get better until now when I can almost do anything

I also still take my medication but I’m cutting down on them now

You just have to push yourself and tell your self your not in damager and your body will slowly calm down, if you let it beat you and you run away then you’ll never get better. You just have to face it and it does get easier even if it doesn’t feel like it

HI I have just read your post so glad you are getting better. I've suffer with anxiety for 5 years it crippled me it stopped me doing almost everything I seemed to off felt be eternal for around 1year now but within the last couple of weeks it's been at its highest I very ever felt .have you experienced a drop feeling in your chest this is a new one for me .I've been told this is anxiety it's very awful to have just wondering at the time did you have this symptom

I'm glad to read you are feeling better. I suppose you are on Effexor, on what dose are you to manage your anxiety and how do you find cutting down so far?

Been on Effexor for 14 years...worked well up until 3 years ago...still on it...

Hi, thank you, me too, I couldn’t even do my food shop, or even pick up my own medication. I have, anxiety has done all sorts to me and it used to make me panic like mad. Anxiety can really mess with your mind and body. Sometimes if I go really bad I would loose my eye sight completely and I had to feel my way to the toilet to be sick and my body would get really hot to the point where my clothes would be wet. It can also make some of you body feel numb, like my finger I couldn’t feel it. Everyone gets it in different ways and I’ve had most of them. You’ve just got to stay calm and no stress as the anxiety feeds of it. I’m not much help but I’m here if you have any questions or anything because if I can get throw it so can you x

It took me about 3 years to get where I am now. But I take  Sertraline And  Mirtazapine if I’ve spelt them right and also another one that lowers my blood pressure for when I feel one coming. And that helps a lot. I’ll tell you what it’s called tomorrow
