feels like someone stabbing a needle in my shoulder blade. like a pin prick but worse! when i lie down it can move(and a bone in my shoulder blade) feels like a thin bone moving.. cant describe it.lol
Hi Mrs Trigga, I have similar problem in my left shoulder. My GP says it's down to the Osteo Arthritis I have in neck and spine after numerous scans and xrays. What age are you? Do you or did you sit typing or operating a till or anything similar for long periods of time? I think you should see a Doc with a view to asking for some investigations at hospital with a specialist in joint problems like this. OA can be seen on Xrays, scans etc if it's progressed quite a bit. Otherwise it might just show as spaces between the spinal joints if it's early days. Either way it needs attending to before it gets worse. Best wishes, Ellie UK
Hi Ellie. Im 29. had a pain in my back about one and a half fingers past my shoulder blade for years now.. cant see how it happened but i do sit on my bed twisted using my laptop..maybe it will go when i get a proper table to sit it on.
Hi again. Yes, best to sit in a comfy chair at the table or desk. Bad posture is another cause of this type of pain. Sort it now and you may have less problems as you get older! lol
I have constant pain in my shoulder blade, but not the feeling of a bone moving. Maybe you should have an xray to see if you have a fracture of some kind?
is it easy to get an x-ray? dont it see as a major thing i need seeing to..just wondered if anyone had it..or knew what it could be
here in the US you have to have a script to get an xray. But unless there is a fracture you will not see anything on one. To see if you have nerve damage or ligament tears you need an MRI. Most of the time a pain in the shoulder blade is coming from the Thoracic spine or the muscles.
